At Switchnet Services, we are fully committed to respecting and protecting your privacy and the information you choose to share with us.

Here we set out how we collect personal information and why we do so.  Any changes made to this policy will be reflected here, so please check back from time to time to ensure you are happy with any of these amendments.  By using our website and services you are agreeing to be bound by this policy.

Established in 2004, Switchnet Services Limited specialises in the provision of IT Services, Solutions and Support for local businesses, charities and educational establishments throughout Hampshire.  Switchnet Services Limited is registered in the United Kingdom under Company Number 05302110.  The Registered Address is 90 Violet Road, Southampton, SO16 3GJ.

The Information we collect from you

There are numerous ways we obtain data from you, for example, when you use our website, you may choose to provide us with your information when completing a contact form for more information regarding the services and products we offer.  Our website also makes use of cookies to enhance the user experience and collect log files to analyse trends and performance statistics etc.

From time to time, we may receive personal data about you from third party sources (including without limitation recruitment agencies, credit check agencies, agencies providing compliance checks, lead generation providers and partners who provide products and services to you), but only where such third parties have confirmed that they have your consent or are otherwise legally permitted or required to disclose your personal data to us.

We may combine any information that we collect from you with information about you that we obtain from such third parties.

The type of information collected from you

The personal information we collect may include your name, company, job title, email address, postal address, IP address and details regarding any pages on our website you have accessed and when.

We only collect relevant amounts of information necessary for the purpose in which the data is being collected.  For example, if you are contacting us regarding the purchase of our services or products, we need to collect certain details to allow us to contact you and progress your enquiry.

We may contact you from time to time in order to provide you with information about products and services that may be of interest to you.  Such communications may contain tracking technology that tells us whether you opened the communication and whether you followed the hyperlinks within the communication, in order to help us analyse the effectiveness of, monitor and improve our marketing campaigns.

We will not contact you for any marketing purposes by email, phone or SMS unless you have given your prior consent for us to do so.  To change your marketing preferences at any time, either email privacy@switchnetservices.co.uk or use the Update Your Preferences link at the bottom of any previously received email communication.

Retention of your data

Switchnet Services will retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the services you have purchased.  If you wish to request that we no longer use your registered information to provide you services, contact us at privacy@switchnetservices.co.uk

We may need to retain and use some of your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Accessing your information

The accuracy of your information is important to us, and we strive to ensure that we hold the correct information about you.  If you wish to view the information we hold about you or make an update or change to your personal details, you can do so by emailing privacy@switchnetservices.co.uk or use the Update Your Preferences link at the bottom of any previously received email communication.

Security

We strive to protect the personal data we hold.  Whilst no data transmission or storage can be guaranteed as 100% secure, we endeavour to protect all personal data using reasonable and appropriate physical, administrative, technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data.  All employees are regularly reminded and trained about the importance of privacy and what they can do to ensure customer information is protected at all times.

Notification of changes

If any changes are made to the privacy notice, these changes will be posted here on the company website so our customers are always aware of what information we collect, how it is used, under what circumstances and if this is disclosed to any third party.

If any decision is made to use personally identifiable information that is held by us in a different way to that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify customers by way of an email.  Customers will have a choice as to whether or not we continue to use their information following these changes.
